Cafe Con Leche

I know I don't look it, but I'm 50% Hispanic.  So far as I'm concerned, there's no better way to enjoy the morning than with a hot mug of cafe con leche.  Now that I own a stovetop espresso maker, I no longer need to rely on Cuban cafes to meet my coffee needs.
You can make cafe con leche too!!  It's simple: Fill a coffee mug to the halfway point with steaming milk (you don't have to use whole milk, but splurge a little- Nonfat milk does not provide the creamy quality that makes cafe con leche SO delicious.) and top with desired amount of espresso and sugar (or Splenda.)
p.s. The other side of the coffee mug states:
"...how ardently I admire and love you." <3

Frou Frou Tutu

Guess what: I'm a princess.  On boring errand days (like yesterday), there's nothing I enjoy more than a swirly, purple tutu to remind me of this fact.  Deal with it.

Oh, Audrey

Confession: I have a thing for Audrey Hepburn.  Call me crazy, but I think she possessed a timeless grace that other fashion icons of her era (ahem, Marilyn Monroe) lacked.
My love for Audrey transferred to the decor in one of our guest bedrooms.  Besides a few finishing touches (Black & White Damask Accents or perhaps a patterned wall), I'm pleased with the outcome.

Pretty Little Soldier

Personally, I love the resurgence of military-esque combat boots and long, billowy skirts.  The fact that current fashion trends seek to combine these items is icing on the cake.  Fashion and comfort? Yes please!

Leather, Minus the Motorcycle

Wearing leather pants (without looking like a member of a motorcycle gang) is no easy task.  To minimize the tough look of the leather, I paired these leggings with a romantic bow-tie blouse. Edgy, but classy too!

Piece of Cake!

{Complete List of Ingredients}

{Step 2}

{Step 3}

Behold: The world's easiest dessert.  While traditionally known as a dump cake (let's face it- that's ugly), I call this sweet treat a pineapple-cherry crush.  Served warm with a scoop of ice cream, fool friends and family into believing you slaved over it :)

Ingredients:
1 can cherry-pie filling
1 can crushed pineapple
1 box yellow cake mix (I like Duncan Hines)
2 sticks unsalted butter

Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 325 degrees
2.) Pour cherry pie filling in the bottom of a baking dish
3.) Top cherry pie filling with crushed pineapple (juice included)
4.) Top crushed pineapple with dry cake mix
5.) Drizzle melted butter atop cake mix
6.) Bake 35-45 minutes, until browned and bubbly

Enjoy!
